Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Deep Learning to advance machine-learning methods for dystonia diagnosis, risk prediction, and treatment outcomes, leveraging the DystoniaNet platform and brain MRI datasets from patients and healthy individuals.

You will join a multidisciplinary team at Mass Eye and Ear and Mass General Hospital, developing clinical translation, collaborations, and potential future roles in academia or industry.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in CS, neuroscience, or biomedical engineering.
• Strong ML experience including neural networks, supervised/unsupervised methods.
• Experience with neuroimaging data processing.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Matlab; TensorFlow or Keras.
• Experience with AWS or cloud platforms.
• Excellent communication and publication record.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process experimental data.
• Develop and refine DL algorithms for predictive classification.
• Translate and test algorithms with clinicians for clinical translation.
• Establish and foster collaborations across investigators.
• Contribute to regulatory aspects of translation and patenting.
• Present results at scientific meetings and publish journal articles.
• Mentor junior staff.
