Qualifications

• Ph.D. in economics, finance, risk management and insurance or related field.
• Demonstrated research expertise in catastrophe risk management, insurance, or resilience.
• Significant data analysis and programming skills (Python, R).
• Ability to work across disciplines and with industry partners.
• Excellent written and oral communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research on catastrophe risk management and insurance practices.
• Produce working papers, journal articles, and practitioner-oriented publications.
• Assist with organizing conferences, micro-conferences, and research seminars.
• Supervise research assistants and contribute to curricular enhancements.
• Engage in community and industry outreach to disseminate findings.
• Maintain an active online presence for the Institute via its digital platforms.
• Teach an Introductory Risk Management and Insurance course.
