Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center’s Nguyen Lab seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to lead a multidisciplinary project at the interface of cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, and bioengineering. You will design and execute experiments using advanced 3D tumor models, patient-derived microtumors, and quantitative microscopy in a translational setting.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Cancer Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacology, or related discipline.
• Strong research background in cancer or tumor biology.
• Demonstrated publication record, preferably with at least two first-author papers.
• Ability to independently plan, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments.
• Strong written and oral scientific communication skills.
• Multidisciplinary and collaborative work environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day experimental design, planning, and execution to meet milestones.
• Develop experimental plans, controls, and ensure rigor and reproducibility.
• Perform and oversee in vitro, 3D, and ex vivo experiments.
• Analyze data and communicate findings to the PI and collaborators.
• Maintain thorough experimental documentation and contribute to reports and manuscripts.
• Mentor staff, students, and trainees on the project.
• Coordinate operations and resources for successful research execution.
• Present findings at seminars and conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals and future research directions.
