Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology or biomedical sciences with hands-on experience in immunology, molecular cell biology and animal work.
• PhD with 1-4 years of postdoctoral experience.
• Experience in cell culture of primary mouse and human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells.
• Experience in immunology techniques notably multi-panel flow cytometry.
• Experience in molecular cloning, molecular & cell biology techniques.
• Experience with handling and working on animal model experiments.
• Ability to work independently after essential training has been provided.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility in work schedule to complete necessary study within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and conduct experiments under the supervision of the PI to investigate AML stem cell resistance to immunochemotherapy.
• Perform rodent experiments and husbandry including bone marrow chimeras and genotyping.
• Rigorously document experimental results and present results at lab meetings and conferences.
• Prepare manuscripts and contribute preliminary data for grant proposals.
• Work closely with other lab members to ensure projects are on track and organize lab space and supplies.
• Work with PI to ensure compliance with Animal Resource Center, IACUC, and safety regulations.
