Job summary

Georgia Tech invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join CLASS Lab 2.0, focusing on AI-powered learning, stealth assessment, and productive mathematical thinking.

The successful candidate will contribute to two lines of research: AI-supported productive failure and mathematics learning, and AI literacy and creativity. The appointment is two years with potential extension based on funding.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent by start of appointment.
• Evidence of ability to conduct high-quality empirical research.
• Experience with quantitative, qualitative, computational, or mixed research methods.
• Strong scholarly writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to research studies involving AI-supported learning environments.
• Take ownership from conception through publication and dissemination.
• Contribute to design, development, and evaluation of generative AI and learning technologies.
• Design and conduct classroom, laboratory, and/or online studies.
• Analyze learning, interaction, and process data using quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and computational approaches.
• Develop frameworks and AI-based methods for evaluating learning processes and human-AI interactions.
• Lead and contribute to manuscripts for publication and present findings at conferences.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, developers, teachers, and external partners.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
• Contribute to research proposals and new externally funded projects.
