Job summary

The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a 3-year full-time postdoctoral position to develop and apply models that simulate ecosystem biogeochemistry of wetlands at regional to global scales. The project combines biogeochemical and hydrological modelling, in situ measurements, satellite remote sensing, and AI techniques.

Qualifications

• PhD in geography, environmental sciences, ecology, computer sciences or related disciplines.
• Experience with process-based modelling, hybrid modelling and/or machine learning.
• Experience with Python, PyTorch and differentiable programming is an asset.
• Experience with handling big data and Earth observation data.

Responsibilities

• Research within modelling of ecosystem biogeochemistry of wetlands and related tools.
• Teaching as part of the postdoc duties and collaboration within the Global Wetland Center.
