Job summary

Columbia University’s Zuckerman Mind Brain and Behavior Institute seeks a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to establish and lead a translational neuroscience program in mouse models, employing advanced molecular, cellular and brain imaging methods to inform targeted treatments. Based in the Jerome L.

Greene Science Center on Columbia’s Manhattanville campus, you will collaborate across labs and platforms, mentoring junior members and contributing to cutting‑edge neuroscience research.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in neuroscience or related field with strong publication record.
• Experience working with mice.
• Diverse expertise including in vivo functional imaging, neural circuit tracing, electrophysiology, neurodevelopmental biology.
• Strong computational skills in MATLAB or Python; ability to mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory research in translational neuroscience projects.
• Design and perform experiments; collect and analyze data.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Engage in scientific communication at conferences and training of junior lab members.
