Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim, based at our Ridgefield, CT campus, seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop spatially-defined in vitro models of chronic kidney disease for new target discovery. You will apply genetics, genomics and bioengineering within the Therapeutic Concept Discovery Group.

The role emphasizes independent research, collaboration with computational and wet-lab teams, and dissemination of findings through publications and patents as part of advancing cardiovascular-renal metabolic disease

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related discipline.
• Primary cell culture competence is essential.
• Experience in functional genomics and spatial/single-cell transcriptomics is beneficial.
• Strong publication record and ability to communicate results effectively.
• Ability to independently conduct research and develop new approaches.

Responsibilities

• Execute a multi-aim project to build spatially defined in vitro CKD models.
• Apply genetics, genomics, and bioengineering to target discovery.
• Collaborate with internal and external researchers and mentors.
• Publish primary author manuscripts and contribute to patenting where relevant.
