Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Therapeutic Concept Discovery Group at our US headquarters in Ridgefield, CT. The role focuses on creating in vitro kidney disease models using genetics, genomics, and bioengineering to discover new targets.

The successful candidate will conduct independent projects under mentorship, publish findings, and contribute to a dynamic postdoc community across multiple sites. This is a three-year position with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related discipline,<br>preferably ≤3 years postdoc experience.
• Primary cell culture and molecular biology competence required.
• Experience in functional genomics, spatial and single-cell transcriptomics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research projects.
• Collaborate with Boehringer Ingelheim researchers and external partners.
• Effectively communicate and defend work in writing and presentations.
• Publish first-author papers and/or contribute to patents.
• Build international reputation through conferences and collaborations.
