Mount Sinai Health System invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Women’s Biomedical Research Institute in New York. The role focuses on studying how vaginal microbes interact with epithelial and immune cells and contributes to health and disease in the reproductive tract.

The position requires a PhD in molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, immunology, or a related field with 4–6 years of related research experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, immunology or other relevant field.
• At least 4–6 years performing related research (during PhD).
• This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between ISMMS and SPOC-UAW.

Responsabilités

• Perform relevant non-pregnant and pregnant animal models including survival surgery.
• Execute various in vitro experimental models including immune and epithelial cell lines and 2D/3D model systems.
• Analyze RNA sequencing data and other omics analyses as required for project completion.
