Qualifications

• PhD in CS/CE/EE/ME awarded within the last five years with robotics experience.
• Proven robotics publications or strong project/GitHub record.
• Excellent programming and CS skills.
• Experience with robot diagnostics, maintenance, and customization.
• Experience with robot simulation environments.
• Experience with 3D modeling, 3D printing, and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental and applied research in robotics, including perception, control, manipulation and interaction.
• Work with single-arm and bimanual robots, various end-effectors, sensors, and APIs for experiments and development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across BNL and with partners.
• Conceive and execute high-quality research ideas with AI Department colleagues.
• Publish and communicate research outcomes and participate in proposals and collaboration-building.
