Brookhaven National Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in Embodied AI within the Scientific Embodied Agents Lab (SEAL) to advance robotics and AI for scientific workflows. Qualifications

• PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering awarded within the past 5 years, or related field with strong AI/robotics experience.
• Strong theoretical and practical background in machine learning, AI, and robotics.
• Proven publication record in AI/ML and/or robotics.
• Excellent programming and CS skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental and applied research in embodied AI, agentic AI, and robotics.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across BNL and with partners.
• Conceive and execute high-quality research ideas with AI Department colleagues.
• Publish and communicate research outcomes and participate in proposals and collaborations.
