Job summary

The Thomas-Tikhonenko laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania: Perelman School of Medicine is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to pursue funded basic and translational research projects focused on aberrant mRNA splicing in cancer vulnerabilities and new therapy targets. The work spans hematologic malignancies and solid tumors and combines mechanistic studies with immunotherapy development.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/DVM or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Demonstrated expertise in RNA biology, cancer genetics/genomics, cell signaling, immunotherapy, or bioinformatics.
• Eligibility for federal training grants is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pursue newly funded basic and translational research projects.
• Elucidate the role of aberrant mRNA splicing in cancer vulnerabilities and identify new therapy targets.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within UPenn/CHOP and related institutes.
