Job summary
Rutgers University’s Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) in New Brunswick is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Traffic Engineering. The role focuses on ITS, data sharing, and testing within the DataCity Smart Mobility project, requiring strong technical and collaborative abilities to advance cutting-edge transportation systems.

Qualifications
- PhD required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in ITS/traffic engineering.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with DataCity PIs and students to design and implement ITS data-sharing platforms.
- Monitor, assess, and test performance of front-end and back-end systems; propose enhancements.
- Engage with agencies and private partners to identify needs and collaboration opportunities.
- Prepare and write funding proposals for federal, state, and local opportunities.
- Provide training and technical guidance to student engineers and partners.
- Document system processes, configurations, and changes to promote knowledge sharing.
