Job summary

The Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate focused on innovative materials for transportation infrastructure. The role advances the use of industrial byproducts in civil engineering and supports a DOT-funded initiative.

The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple Rutgers groups and external partners, conduct high-level research, and contribute to broader project objectives and dissemination.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Material Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience in geomaterial performance assessment and modeling, life cycle assessment, infrastructure performance and design, supply chain management, systems thinking and modeling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with high proficiency in technical writing and editing.

Responsibilities

• Lead research on use of industrial byproducts in transportation infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Rutgers groups and national/international partners.
• Disseminate research results and contribute to proposal development.
