Zusammenfassung

The Ho Lab at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City invites a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead a project studying how the malarial moving junction assembles and remodels host membranes. The role combines conditional parasite genetics, biochemical assays, and cutting-edge Cryo-EM and in situ Cryo-ET to reveal AMA1-RON complex dynamics during invasion.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD in relevant fields, first-author publications, and strong communication and collaborative skills

Qualifikationen

• PhD in molecular parasitology or biochemistry, biophysics or structural biology.
• First-author publication in at least two of the listed areas.
• Strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Lead a project on assembly/remodeling of the moving junction during invasion.
• Apply Cryo-EM and in situ Cryo-ET with conditional parasite genetics.
• Collaborate across a vibrant lab and contribute to high-resolution structure work.
