Qualifications

  • MD or PhD in basic science, health science, or related field.
  • No experience required.
  • Experience with mouse breeding and colony management.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, especially Western blotting.
  • Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing or genetically engineered mouse models.
  • Familiarity with inducible protein-degradation systems including dTAG technology.
  • Evidence of scientific productivity through publications or presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Genetically Engineered Rodent Models Core to design and optimize CRISPR/Cas9 strategies for dTAG-KI mouse models.
  • Collects blood, tissues, and other samples at designated time points.
  • Evaluates target-protein expression and degradation using Western blotting and related methods.
  • Performs animal dosing and experimental treatments via appropriate routes.
  • Manages mouse colonies including breeding, weaning, and recordkeeping.
  • Conducts molecular characterization and pharmacological studies (DMPK).
  • Analyzes data, keeps accurate records, and prepares figures, reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
