University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a postdoctoral fellow to study circadian gene regulation of metabolism during Xenopus development. The role combines research (75%) and undergraduate teaching/mentoring (25%), with emphasis on training in CRISPR-Cas9, RNA-Seq and bioinformatics.

The successful candidate will work in the Biology Department, participate in workshops, and pursue career development with support for publications, reagents, and conference attendance.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in Biology is required; ABD acceptable if degree completed by start date or one-year contract with completion before Jan 2027.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate level and ability to communicate complex info to diverse audiences.
• Interest or experience in developmental biology, cell biology, physiology, or molecular genetics is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Teach introductory biology lectures and labs; contribute to developmental biology courses.
• Support PI's grant research, publish results, mentor undergraduates, and assist in grant proposals.
• Ensure digital accessibility and use standard university platforms (Navigate, Canvas, Outlook).
