Job summary
The Teruel Laboratory at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York seeks a postdoctoral researcher to study how hormonal signals and intracellular pathways control adipose tissue and pancreatic β-cells, integrating mechanistic cell biology with whole-animal physiology.
Projects will combine mouse metabolic physiology, quantitative live-cell imaging, advanced microscopy, molecular and cell biology, and quantitative image analysis to address obesity and diabetes mechanisms and to train the next
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in metabolism, physiology, endocrinology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, diabetes research, or related field.
- Final-year PhD students or recent graduates are especially encouraged to apply.
- Experience with mouse models of metabolism or metabolic physiology is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Investigate how hormonal signals and intracellular pathways control adipose tissue and pancreatic β-cells.
- Bridge mechanistic cell biology with in vivo metabolic physiology using mouse models and imaging.
- Utilize quantitative live-cell imaging, microscopy, and image analysis to study signaling dynamics.
