Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in Livermore seeks postdoctoral researchers for the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Processing Section. You will develop design tools, additive manufacturing methods, two-photon lithography, and microscale analysis for lattices with microscale features.

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical and computational modeling and simulation.
• Experience with materials characterization and mechanical testing (tensile, compression, three-point bending, rheometry, SEM/TEM).
• Experience with programming in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in architected materials, additive manufacturing, and microscale materials testing; design, implement, and analyze techniques in these areas.
• Organize, analyze, and present research data.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve research goals.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Pursue independent research interests while coordinating with LLNL scientists.
