Qualifications

  • PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field, conferred within the past five years or before start date.
  • Demonstrated experimental expertise in 2D material heterostructure device fabrication and electrical characterization across temperatures including exfoliation/transfer and cryogenic measurements.
  • Experience in nanofabrication (e-beam lithography, PVD, ALD) and analysis of transistor device data; strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to creative, independent research, teamwork, and safe scientific practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, fabricate, and characterize 2D heterostructures for steep-slope devices.
  • Characterize 2D materials and devices across temperatures; analyze transistor behavior.
  • Explore new materials, device structures, and patterning methods to improve performance.
  • Integrate 2D-3D and 2D-membrane heterostructures using external MSRC materials.
  • Collaborate with diverse staff and disseminate findings via publications and presentations.
