Tecan CDMO Solutions MH, Corp. is seeking a Quality Assurance - Post Wave team member for onsite work in Morgan Hill, CA. You will perform PCBAs inspections, soldering, and rework to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of PCBAs to verify quality and identify defects.
• Perform precise hand soldering and touch-up rework on SMT and through-hole components.
• Execute rework per ECOs, Process Deviations, MPIs.
• Document inspection results to maintain traceability.
• Follow safety procedures including ESD precautions.
• Collaborate to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues.
• Communicate with ME and TE for escalated issues.
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Salary Range: $25/HR - $30/HRLY

Make an Impact at Tecan

As a Quality Assurance - Post Wave team member, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Tecan's printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). You will perform detailed visual inspections, precision soldering, and touch-up rework to ensure products meet established quality standards and customer requirements.

Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Test Engineering (TE), and production teams, you will help identify and resolve quality issues, maintain accurate documentation and traceability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

How Will You Make an Impact?

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to verify established quality standards and identify defects.
• Perform precise hand soldering and touch-up rework on Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole components.
• Execute rework activities in accordance with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Process Deviations, and Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs).
• Accurately document inspection results and rework activities to maintain product traceability and compliance.
• Follow established safety procedures, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions, and proper PCB handling practices.
• Collaborate with team members to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues while sharing best practices.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Test Engineering (TE) to communicate and escalte quality issues requiring additional investigation.
• Support timely implementation of corrective actions and solutions to address identified quality concerns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality, process efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Your Background

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on PCBA soldering and rework experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs), and component values.
• Experience performing detailed inspection and rework using a microscope.
• Strong understanding of ESD precautions, proper PCB handling, and manufacturing safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Ability to independently identify defects and perform precise rework while following established procedures and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely lift materials and equipment weighing approximately 15–30 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities including bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, walking, and carrying materials.
