Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Post-silicon validation or board-level bring-up experience.

• Knowledge of SoC architectures and interfaces (PCIe, USB, DDR, I2C/SPI).
• Hands-on lab skills with oscilloscopes, analyzers and bench equipment.
• Methodical debugging and clear reporting.

Bring up and validate first silicon, debug issues across hardware, firmware and test infrastructure, and drive to production.

Post-Silicon & Embedded San Jose, CA / Austin, TX (USA)

From the moment first silicon arrives you will own bring-up, functional and electrical validation, and debug. You will develop validation plans, build lab automation, and work closely with design, DFT and firmware teams to isolate real design issues from board, equipment or software artefacts.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute silicon bring-up and validation for SoCs and IPs.
• Develop validation test content and automation in Python/C.
• Debug failures using lab equipment (scopes, logic analysers, protocol analysers) and on-chip debug.
• Characterise performance, power and interface margins across PVT.
• Collaborate with ATE and product engineering on correlation and yield.
• Document findings and drive issues to closure with design teams.

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Experience with post-silicon validation or board-level bring-up.
• Strong C/C++ and Python skills; familiarity with embedded debug (JTAG, trace).
• Understanding of SoC architecture and standard interfaces (PCIe, USB, DDR, I2C/SPI).
• Hands-on lab skills with oscilloscopes, analysers and bench instruments.
• Methodical debugging approach and clear reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with ATE test programs and pattern debug.
• Experience with high-speed SerDes characterisation.
• Exposure to FPGA-based validation platforms.
