Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a General Bindery Operator to operate Advent machines, perform set-ups, and ensure accurate production of printed materials. You will handle cutting, handwork, drilling, and packing while maintaining quality and efficiency.

You will interpret order instructions, monitor ink density and color matching, and resolve production issues with guidance from the Team Manager. This role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills.
• HS/GED with 3 years warehouse experience and 1 year plating experience.
• Strong PC knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advent machine operation, cutting, handwork, 3-hole drilling and packing.
• Set up the press efficiently, manage stock area, verify shipments and generate labels.
• Interpret order instructions and ensure ink density, ink/water balance, color matching meet quality requirements.
• Resolve production issues by adjusting processes and coordinating with the Team Manager.

Operates moderately complex post-press equipment of intermediate to advanced difficulty. Typically requires preventive maintenance functions to be performed. Likely to utilize basic to intermediate computer systems in the completion of duties. Equipment operators at this level typically process multiple product types.

General Bindery Operator duties

• Advent Machine operation, Cutting, Handwork, 3 hole drilling, and packing.
• Perform a complete set-up of the press in an efficient manner, which may include: monitor/maintain equipment, a stock area with supplies, check order shipments, stamp and proofread customer orders and generate labels.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press productively while, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Resolve production issues by altering process to meet additional specifications and notify Team Manager to obtain additional information or resources as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education and Experience: HS/GED and 3 years of warehouse experience. 1 year of plating experience.
• Strong PC knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
