Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a press operator in Townsend, MA to manage operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high-speed presses. You will ensure correct stock, ink balance, color matching and precise registration to meet customer requirements, while maintaining equipment and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of printing/manufacturing experience, basic math and computer skills, and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

I color Flex GTO Multibooks

Responsible for the operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses.

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, etc.


• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.

• Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use. Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
