Job summary

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Surgical 7 unit. You will care for patients recovering from surgery under RN supervision and help with daily activities to support recovery.

The role offers a 0.90 FTE full-time night shift schedule (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) on a mission-driven healthcare system known for compassionate care and caregiver wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Washington State CNA certification
• BLS certification upon hire (AHA or Red Cross)
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care and life stages
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Organizational skills in a fast-paced hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care under RN direction.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
• Help with walking, transfers, and bed mobility.
• Take and document vital signs and observations.
• Report changes to the nursing team.
• Record intake/output and care information.
• Support basic treatments and care activities.
• Keep rooms stocked and organized for quality care.
• Document care accurately in medical records.
• Assist with clerical tasks and unit operations.
• Contribute to a compassionate environment for patients and families.
