Job summary

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Neurology team. This full-time, night-shift role (0.90 FTE) offers hands-on patient care under RN supervision and a pay range of $23.03–$34.59 per hour.

You will provide direct care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, document care, and support a compassionate patient and family experience in a busy neurological unit.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State CNA credential.
• BLS certification at hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Ability to apply age-specific care and developmental principles; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within CNA scope.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, meals, and hydration.
• Help patients walk, exercise, reposition, and get in and out of bed.
• Take and document vital signs.
• Monitor and record fluid intake and output.
• Apply dressings and assist with treatments as directed by nurse or provider.
• Observe patients closely and report changes in condition.
• Document patient care activities accurately.
• Stock patient rooms and supplies to support daily care needs.
• Provide unit support such as answering phones and chart-related tasks.
