Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center is seeking a Post-Op RN to plan, execute, direct and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients in a high‑quality setting.
The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing school, an active Kansas RN license, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (or ability to obtain ACLS within 12 months). Experience in Preop or PACU is preferred, with a 4‑day schedule and no weekend or on‑call duties.

Full-Time Position, 4 days a week, 0900-1900 Hours may vary with a rotating day off. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of Pre-Op, PACU, Surgical or Critical Care experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification required. Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing and an Active RN license as required by the state of employment. Position does not require weekends or call.
Post OP RN is responsible for the planning, executing, directing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient. The responsibility includes the preparation, and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies required to perform the clinical activities necessary to recover patients after their surgery.
1. Education: Graduate of an approved or accredited School of Registered Nursing. Current RN license issued by the State of Kansas. Current BLS certification required. PALS certification required in Post-op. ACLS or ALS certification is required; will allow applicant 12 months to obtain.
2. Job Knowledge/Skills: Verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to deal with stress is a necessity in dealing with subordinates, employees, physicians, their office staff, and vendors.
3. Experience: One-year previous hospital experience in a critical care environment, preferably in a surgical care setting.
4. Physical Demands: Mentally and physically healthy. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
5. Work Environment: Must be able to walk or stand for hours during job performance. May be exposed to communicable diseases and radiation.
6. Handling of Confidential Data: Handles confidential data professionally according to hospital policy and procedures.
