Job summary

Highmark Health's West Penn Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Post-Surgery Unit in Pittsburgh, PA. This role provides comprehensive post-operative care and supports patient safety and quality of care in a dynamic environment.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; provide leadership; mentor staff; delegate tasks; participate on interdisciplinary teams; and contribute to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Preferred certification in area of specialty.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient responses and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Contribute to team success through role modeling and mentoring.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Provide feedback to peers regarding clinical practice and role performance.
