Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a high-acuity post-operative unit. You will perform integrated pre- and post-operative critical care using the nursing process within a collaborative team.

Open-heart trained within one year of hire is preferred; ACLS and BLS certification are required. Strong interpersonal skills and competency in Windows-based systems are expected.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal communication skills for patient and family education.
• Competency in Microsoft Windows and general computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial and family support.
• Coordinate all aspects of patient care according to needs and care plans.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for total patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate care for adolescents, adults and seniors.
