Job summary

Vireo Health in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician in a Rock Hill warehouse. This full-time role offers a starting pay of $17/hour with benefits; no experience required as training is provided.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, roughly 7:30 am–4 pm, with opportunities to contribute to trimming, packaging, and data recording as part of a production team. Candidates must be 21+, able to obtain a Missouri Agent ID, and commit to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Missouri Agent ID by start date (fingerprints and background check)
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process flowers during post-production, including trimming and preparing for packaging.
• Maintain high-quality appearance and structural integrity of cannabis buds; minimize waste.
• Assist in transferring product to the dry room and weighing for packaging.
• Record data in required software platforms; meet production schedules as part of a team.
• Contribute to cleaning and organizing the workspace to prevent cross-contamination.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Our Cannabis Trimmers/Packagers will work out of our warehouse location in Rock Hill (St. Louis, MO 63144). Full-time employees will receive medical benefits and paid time off. The schedule is Monday-Friday ~7:30 am-4 pm. Starting pay rate is $17/hour. No experience is needed; we will train you for success!

Responsibilities of Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician:

• Efficiently processes flowers during thepost-productionphase:
  • Preparing and trimming in a quick, precise, and dexterous manner
  • Maintaining the high-quality appearance and structural integrity of the cannabis plant
  • Ensuring the least amount of waste possible is produced
  • Assisting in the product transfer into the dry room
  • Weighing out product accurately to prepare for packaging
  • Recording data in all necessary software platforms
  • Working as part of a team to meet production schedules
  • Assisting in the packaging process as required.
• Ensures assigned facility area is clean and safe:
  • Maintaining a clean workspace to prevent cross-contamination
  • Ensuring equipment is cleaned and maintained
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements for Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Passion for medical cannabis
• Strong preference for fast trimmers with experience trimming large volumes in a professional setting
• Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by the start date, which includes submitting fingerprints and passing a criminal background check
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work weekends and holidays

Preferred, but not required:

• Previous professional experience trimming cannabis
• Gardening production experience, preferably in a regulated field producing for human consumption
• Manufacturing experience with an understanding of operations
• Knowledge of medical cannabis law and cannabis medicinal applications

The work environment is an environmentally controlled warehouse. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to:

• Reach, bend, stoop, sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders, crawl into small spaces, walk on uneven terrain, endure extreme temperatures, and manage personal exposure to numerous soil and air contaminants.
• Carry and lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
