Job summary

Wick Buildings is seeking a Post Frame Construction Crew Member in Thompson, IL to construct post-frame buildings for agricultural, commercial, residential, and equestrian customers. You will assist with site prep, framing, roofing, siding, and finishing, while prioritizing safety and quality.

You will travel to job sites, work with a crew, and comply with supervisor instructions, building career skills and contributing to a trusted industry leader.

Qualifications

• Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Work at heights and climb ladders safely.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude.
• Team player and willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing post-frame buildings from start to finish.
• Install posts, trusses, girts, roof purlins, steel roofing, and siding.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and equipment safely.
• Load and unload materials and maintain an organized job site.
• Follow construction plans and supervisor instructions.
• Travel to job sites as required and participate in safety meetings.

Position Summary

As a Post Frame Construction Crew Member, you will work with a crew to construct post-frame buildings for agricultural, commercial, residential, and equestrian customers. Crew members assist with all phases of construction, including site preparation, framing, roofing, siding installation, and finishing work while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction of post-frame buildings from start to finish.
• Install posts, trusses, girts, roof purlins, steel roofing, and siding.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Load and unload materials and maintain an organized job site.
• Follow construction plans and supervisor instructions.
• Work safely at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment.
• Maintain company quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and inspections.
