Job summary

Wilsonart LLC in Temple, Texas is seeking a Post Forming Line Operator to run the Post Forming & DET lines at the Wetwall facility. You will work under the supervisor, operate equipment, monitor quality, and ensure safety standards.

The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude, ability to read controls, and willingness to train others. You will perform setup, use HMIs and CNCs, and support preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with postforming or PLC-controlled machinery in a manufacturing or commercial environment.
  • Experience with FANUC controls or robotics is an advantage.
  • Experience in wood working or laminate environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Post Forming & DET equipment per product specifications.
  • Assist and operate Bonding Line, Post-Forming & DET equipment per specs.
  • Set up and run production lines using HMIs, CNC and precision equipment.
  • Evaluate daily production schedule and log production data (material, type, size, run, settings).
  • Apply lock-out/tag-out procedures and assist with preventative maintenance.

Performs other tasks as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Operates Post Forming & DET equipment to according to the product specifications· Assist & Operates Bonding Line, Post-Forming & DET MFG equipment to according to the product specifications· Set up and run production lines using HMI’s, precision mechanical and CNC equipment.· Evaluates the daily production schedule.· Logs production information such as: material produced, type, size, run, control settings, etc.· Ensures all material is present for the production process.· Lays up and aligns the raw materials according to the production process.· Initiates corrective action if production operations are not to standard.· Trains additional personnel on performance of tasks to relieve for breaks, lunches, time off.· Performs lock-out/tag-out procedures and preventative maintenance checks.· Utilizes or wears protective equipment as required or when handling hazardous materials.· Package finished materials according to standard procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES · Hands on mechanical/electrical knowledge of high speed industrial equipment· Attention to detail and working in a methodical manner· Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governingwork standards.· Knowledge of the Postforming manufacturing process and component materials utilized.· Knowledge of the level of quality material must meet.· Skill in operating a lift truck or similar powered industrial vehicle.· Skill in establishing effective working relationships with other personnel.· Ability to identify patterns and finishes.· Ability to identify colors and shades.· Ability to lead people.· Ability to accurately record information on production schedules/logs.· Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules and material assets.· Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member· Ability to interpret dials, graphs, charts, KPI’s etc.· Ability to visually detect product imperfections and defects. · Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms at all levels of the organization. · Ability to learn new skills.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:High School Graduate or GEDEXPERIENCE:Preferred candidate will have experience in Postforming or Operating similar PLC controlled machinery in aManufacturing or Commercial Environment. Experience with FANUC controls or robotics an advantage. Experience of working within a wood working environment, laminate worktop manufacturer or hot melt adhesivecoater an advantage and FANUC controls or robotics an advantage. WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material orequipment of heavy weight 50 to100 lbs.
