Who are we hiring?
The Post Event, Hygiene Supervisor serves as a leading culture builder and ambassador of CPKC Stadium and The University of Kansas Health System Training Center. Primary responsibilities include supervising housekeeping and sustainability crew, environmental maintenance, and ensuring exceptional experiences for guests and team members alike.
The Post Event, Hygiene Supervisor plays a leadership role in fostering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at CPKC Stadium and The University of Kansas Health System Training Center. This individual is responsible for overseeing exceptional standards of cleanliness and service for both guests and team members. This role is integral to delivering a world-class experience and upholding the organization’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.
What will you do?
- Supervise and ensure safe working conditions for housekeeping and sustainability team members and contractors.
- Post event cleaning of venues includes care of floors, restrooms, waste stations, waste sorting areas, exterior and interior venue spaces.
- Work closely with the Manager of Venue Operations to ensure all environments are clean, organized and prepared after events.
- Train and acclimate new staff and expectations of our facilities.
- Track and evaluate employee and third-party contractor performance.
- Manage event laundry processes.
- Manage inventory including ordering, invoice tracking, and restocking dispensers.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve hygiene and sustainability procedures.
What do you need to succeed?
- 2+ years of experience in housekeeping
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication and problem-solving in high pressure environments
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time; may be subject to adverse conditions
- Ability to work flexible and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Operation of equipment including floor machines, balers, vacuum cleaners, and radios
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
- Operation of building management and task tracking software
- Completes duties independently and emergent tasks as received
- Preferred to have previous supervisory experience
Special Requirements Of The Job
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup, equipment management, or assisting with operational needs.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.
- Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.
- Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
