Job description

If you’re a post‑entry expert who thrives in a fast‑moving, highly regulated customs environment, this is a role where you can truly make an impact. We’re looking for a Manager, Post-Entry Compliance & Regulatory Operations to lead a specialized team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of import entries after submission. This work is critical — deadlines are tight, regulations are complex, and the stakes are high. If you love solving problems and guiding teams through time‑sensitive challenges, you’ll feel right at home here.

This position oversees Post Summary Corrections (PSC), Protests, responses to Customs Forms 28 and 29, penalties, and other post-entry enforcement activities. Serving as a strategic partner to both clients and internal teams, the Manager translates complex regulatory requirements into practical, compliant solutions while balancing operational realities, urgent government requests, and statutory deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL LEAD:
Post-Entry Compliance & Correction Leadership:
  • Manage and oversee all post-entry compliance activities, including Post Summary Corrections (PSCs), Protests, Temporary Import Bond (TIB) adjustments, penalties, and other related post-entry actions in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Lead the preparation, submission, monitoring, and resolution of post-entry filings, ensuring accuracy and on‑time completion within strict statutory and regulatory timeframes where delays can create immediate financial and compliance exposure.
  • Prioritize high-volume, time‑sensitive requests, reallocating resources quickly to address urgent filings, escalations, and peak‑period surges.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for post-entry compliance matters, supporting both clients and internal operational teams.
  • Review post‑entry data, documentation, and filings to identify discrepancies, compliance risks, and opportunities for correction or mitigation before statutory deadlines expire.
  • Ensure all post‑entry work products are audit‑ready and aligned with internal quality standards and regulatory expectations under accelerated turnaround requirements.
Leadership & Training:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams operating in a hybrid or remote environment.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, communication standards, and accountability frameworks to ensure consistency
  • Foster a culture of trust, accuracy, open communication, inclusion and belonging and continuous learning while maintaining team morale.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Compliance, Technology) to resolve post‑entry issues and address system or process impacts.
  • Prepare performance metrics, compliance reports, and process improvement recommendations to leadership.
CBP Interaction & Advanced Regulatory Communication:
  • Act as a senior liaison with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), importers, and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance issues, including urgent matters requiring immediate coordination and escalation management; as needed, provide limited support for after‑hours escalations based on business requirements.
  • Manage and respond to Customs Form 28 (Request for Information) and Customs Form 29 (Notice of Action), ensuring accurate, complete, and time-sensitive submissions within firm government response windows.
  • Partner with clients to resolve classification, valuation, duty, and enforcement matters, providing clear regulatory guidance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of U.S. Customs brokerage experience with a strong focus on post‑entry compliance and trade operations.
  • Experience managing teams and workflows in highly regulated, deadline‑driven, and remote work environments.
  • The ability to make sound decisions quickly and guide teams through urgent escalations
  • Passion for compliance, problem‑solving, and operational excellence

If you’re ready to lead a team that plays a pivotal role in protecting clients from compliance and financial risk — while shaping best‑in‑class post‑entry operations — this could be your next big move.
