Job summary

The University of Utah is a leading public research university in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeking a School-Based Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor to oversee clinical and operational aspects of MTSS-based services in Summit County schools.

The role supervises graduate clinicians, coordinates with schools and community partners, and ensures comprehensive supports for students across MTSS tiers, including summer check-ins and collaboration with HMHI and the Summit County Health Department.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The School-Based Behavioral Health Program Supervisor provides full-time clinical and operational oversight for behavioral health services delivered in Summit County public schools. The supervisor oversees graduate clinicians, coordinates services with schools and community partners, and ensures that students receive appropriate supports across all three tiers of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports ( MTSS ).

The position includes graduate-student supervision during the fall and spring semesters and coordination of student check‑ins and other behavioral services during the summer. The supervisor works closely with school administrators, educators, related-service provides, caregivers, Huntsman Mental Health Institute, and the Summit County Health Department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of MTSS , HIPAA , FERPA , and clinical documentation.
• Ability to travel to Summit County schools.

Preferences

• School-based behavioral health experience.
• Experience supervising graduate or pre-licensed clinicians.
• Experience with MTSS , universal screening, or prevention programming.
• Experience consulting with or training educators.
• Familiarity with Utah schools and publicly funded behavioral health services.
