Postdoctoral Position in molecular neurobiology with emphasis on computation and OMICS.
Doctoral degree in natural sciences and at least four years of experience working in a basic science laboratory. Skills preferred include a strong working knowledge of computational neuroscience and big data (OMICS) experience. A strong background in molecular biology including cloning, gene expression/PCR, cell culture, AAV production and design, and handling viral vectors are highly desired. Data generation, data interpretation, writing laboratory procedures and results, and good command of written and spoken English are required.
Job Summary: This postdoctoral fellow position will coordinate projects using high-throughput approaches, combining big data computational methods and in vivo/vitro assays to study neurodegenerative disease and CNS therapy. Studies include evaluating gene therapy candidates via protein modeling and assessing them in vivo. The fellow will participate in experimental design, laboratory work, data analysis, and writing for publication. Opportunities include learning about lab operations, pre-clinical models, tissue sample preparation, immunohistochemistry, etc.

Pay Range: $22.95 - $33.28/hour
