The Center for Vaccine Development at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to work on an NIH-funded consortia to investigate maternal immunization and infant immunity (influenza and pertussis). The candidate will work with leaders in the field and in a collaborative and scientifically rich environment; they will also have the opportunity to expand knowledge in immunology, vaccinology, antibody function, systems serology, immune correlates of protection and evaluation of immunity to infection and vaccination in animal models
QualificationsMinimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Immunology, Microbiology, or related field. Technical expertise in immunology and methods to examine immune responses, and evaluation of vaccines in animal models is required. Experience with molecular and omics-based approaches to dissect immunological mechanisms is prefered. Candidates must have an adequate record of publications as well as communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to work independently is essential. Salary commensurate with experience.
