Job description

Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct NIH‑funded research experiments on transcription factor mediated networks to direct stem and iPS cells to mesodermal fates (cardiac, endothelial, skeletal muscle).
  • Conduct research on transcriptional regulation of cardiac progenitors and myogenic stem cells.
  • Collaborate with laboratory scientists and external partners in the design, implementation, and analysis of experiments.
  • Prepare manuscripts for submission to scientific journals and present at scientific meetings.
  • Document procedures, analyze data, write summary reports on results, and discuss findings with colleagues and the Principal Investigator.
  • Provide independent literature reviews for ongoing projects and suggest new experimental approaches.
  • Deliver regular presentations of scientific data and contribute significantly to manuscript preparation.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. required in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biomedical, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing scientific protocols and scientific writing.
  • Expertise with molecular biological‑biochemistry techniques, transgenesis, and knockout technologies.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $61,008 - $74,088 depending on education/qualifications/experience and appropriate NIH stipend level
