Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a Researcher to advance neuroscience and stem cell studies using iPSC models, CRISPR editing, and imaging, with collaboration across graduate students and post-docs.   • Lab management (20%): order supplies, write and maintain biosafety and animal/human subject protocols, assist in overseeing lab operations.

Job description

Position Summary

Position Summary: The Researcher will use a multi-pronged approach, including biochemistry, CRISPR-based genetic editing, gene expression analysis, proteomics, and imaging. The Researcher’s role will include support of the day-to-day lab operation, working with graduate students and post-docs, carrying out research projects under supervision.

Work Schedule: In-person, 5 days a week, and 40 hour a week.

Duties / Responsibilities

Research (80%):

  • Conduct research in a molecular and cellular neuroscience/stem cell lab for disease modeling using patient derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) and novel mouse model.
  • Plan and conduct experiments.
  • Perform data analysis and generate figures.
  • Work with rodents.
  • Work with tissue culture.

Lab management (20%):

  • Order supplies for the lab.
  • Write and maintain biosafety and animal/human subject protocols.
  • Assist in overseeing the lab operation.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $22.12/hr - $27/hr ; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
