Salary Details A minimum of $63,968.
The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. The Slater laboratory in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University-Newark seeks a Post-Doctoral Associate. The successful candidate will contribute to field deployments, time-lapse geophysical monitoring, data integration, and the development of predictive models and visualization tools. Candidates should have a PhD in geophysics, hydrology, environmental engineering, or a related discipline, with experience in field methods and/or environmental data analysis; familiarity with Python-based workflows, AI/ML, or hydrogeophysical modeling is highly desirable. The position offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with partners at national laboratories and federal agencies, as well as strong professional development in emerging technologies for environmental monitoring, forecasting, and decision support. The position is initially funded for 18 months, with the possibility of an extension depending on the availability of funding. Position will remain open until filled.
