Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a temporary Laboratory Research Specialist for the department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry within the School of Arts and Sciences.

Salary Details $50.00 per hour

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five years experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience with C. elegans confocal imaging and quantification of fluorescent image signals.
  • Experience with processing of frozen and fixed C. elegans samples.
  • Knowledge of C. elegans gut, neuronal anatomy, and microbiome biology.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis of fluorescent images.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in related field.
