Job summary

Douglas Scott Global Recruitment is seeking a Post Completion Assistant - Residential Property to join a well-established law firm. The position is remote with a salary of £25K–£27K per year.

The role focuses on post completion tasks from completion through to registration and file closure, supporting conveyancing lawyers and ensuring timely, accurate filings. You will handle SDLT/LTT returns, mortgage discharges, LRA submissions, and title updates while maintaining deadlines and high standards

• Strong administrative and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit SDLT and LTT returns within statutory deadlines.
• Redeem mortgages and obtain lender discharge documentation.
• Prepare and submit applications to HM Land Registry.
• Monitor applications and respond to Land Registry requisitions.
• Serve notices on landlords and management companies.
• Check completed registrations and confirm title accuracy.
• Issue title documents and completion information to clients and lenders.
• Assist with undertakings and maintain the undertakings register.
• Update case management systems and close files when matters conclude.

Post Completion Assistant - Residential Property

Location: Remote

Salary: £25K - £27K

If you're working in residential conveyancing support and enjoy the detail-driven side of post completion work, this is an opportunity to join a well-established law firm that values accuracy, teamwork and flexibility. Offering remote working, the role provides the chance to take ownership of the post completion process from completion through to registration and file closure.

You’ll work closely with experienced conveyancing lawyers, playing a key role in ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and within strict regulatory and Land Registry deadlines. Rather than being involved in the front end of the transaction, you’ll become the specialist who ensures every matter reaches a successful conclusion, giving you real responsibility and visibility within the team.

This position would suit an organised post completion specialist who enjoys managing their own workload and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You will have post completion experience and want to develop further, you’ll be joining a collaborative team with established processes and ongoing support.
