Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Post Baccalaureate researcher with a strong background in chemical synthesis, especially nanomaterials synthesis, to join our cutting-edge team focused on discovery, synthesis, and application of functional nanomaterials.

You will develop new colloidal nanomaterials with advanced optical properties, conduct synthesis, surface functionalization and characterization of semiconductor quantum dots and related optical nanomaterials in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with air-sensitive synthesis using Schlenk lines and gloveboxes.
• Ability to learn and rapidly acquire new lab techniques.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and surface functionalize colloidal semiconductor quantum dots.
