Job summary

The Building People seeks a Post Award Manager to oversee post-award activities for leased space projects within a complex Federal leasing environment. You will coordinate across design, construction, and stakeholder teams to ensure schedules, lease compliance, and successful occupancy.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, managing change orders, monitoring milestones, and identifying cost-saving opportunities from design through occupancy.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting post-award build-out and delivery for leased spaces.
• 3+ years in related post-award roles.
• Ability to review project documentation and track milestones.
• Training in Lease Acquisition, Pricing in Leased Space, GLS Max Orientation is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-lease award activities for design, construction, and delivery.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, lessors, design professionals, contractors, and customer agency representatives.
• Review drawings and construction documentation for conformance with lease requirements.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables; identify risks and communicate corrective actions.
• Support review of pricing proposals and cost documentation; manage shell vs. TI costs.
• Review and manage tenant improvement change orders per GSA processes and lease terms.
• Track status, approvals, and outstanding issues to support occupancy readiness.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, inspections, and punch list activities.
• Assist with pre-occupancy activities, including final inspections and turnover documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements from design through occupancy.
