Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens, GA seeks a Post Award Business Manager to support post-award sponsored projects within the College of Veterinary Medicine. The role partners with PIs, business managers and grants coordinators on accounting, reporting and data collection activities.

The successful candidate will work with the Administrative Financial Director and CVM staff to ensure financial compliance, monitor expenditures and develop new processes for expenditures and cost share, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent with 5 years of professional experience.
• Strong ability to manage post-award sponsored projects and related accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource for PIs, Business Managers and Grants Coordinators on post-award management.
• Liaise with Sponsored Projects Administration to ensure financial compliance on grant/contract strings.
• Develop and implement processes for sponsored project expenditures and cost share.
• Monitor end dates of sponsored projects and assist with closeout.
