Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a Business Manager I to oversee post-award financial accounting for faculty in the FACS-Human Development and Family Sciences department and support the department Business Manager II with accounting, administrative and customer service duties.

The position will handle travel authorizations, reimbursements, expense reports, UGAMart procurement requisitions, journal entries and cash deposits, and will interact with staff across the Athens campus to ensure accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Three or more year’s experience in professional financial related field.
• Knowledge of USG / UGA financial policies and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate departmental payment and reimbursement requests via UGA’s Financial Management System.
• Prepare general ledger entries for all department accounts.
• Provide daily assistance to the department Business Manager II in resolving problems and implementing new policies.
• Assist faculty, staff, and students with financial transactions and reporting as needed.
