AAMU Alumni Association, Inc. seeks an Associate Comptroller – Reporting & Compliance to manage the Grants and Contracts Business Unit within the Comptroller’s Office.

You will assist with post-award accounting for sponsored programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations and Alabama A&M University policies. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 3 years of grants and contracts accounting experience.
• Alternate: four-year degree with five years of related professional level experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Ellucian Banner.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP.

Aufgaben

• Analyze financial transactions for federal, state, and local restricted funds.
• Perform reporting and compliance activities under applicable Circulars and CFR.
• Prepare SF425 reports and agency invoices, billing, and grant drawdowns.
• Collaborate with Grants & Contracts team and General Accounting for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Assist with month-end close and year-end close and financial statement prep.
• Train department staff and campus community on grants accounting processes.
• Serve as training resource for Grants & Contracts staff.
