Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute seeks a grant financial analyst to interpret grant terms, manage budgeting, reporting, and compliance for sponsored projects. The role collaborates with investigators, departments, and sponsors to ensure accurate financial administration.

Hybrid work environment; provides guidance on federal/state guidelines and oversees invoicing, reporting, and closeout activities related to grants and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Three years of related experience.
• Licensure: None.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sponsored programs for Akron Children's Hospital Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute.
• Provide PI-centric monthly reporting.
• Conduct kickoff meetings for new sponsored programs and summarize expenditures.
• Prepare annual and project closeout financial reports per sponsor guidelines.
• Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and cost transfers; revise grant budgets.
• Create payroll costing allocations for faculty and staff on grants.
• Submit grant modification requests.
• Provide guidance on sponsor regulations to faculty/administrators.
• Maintain grant file information in the portfolio.
• Support pre-award submissions (forms, letters, sponsor portals).
• Other duties as assigned.
