Job summary

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Administrator 1 (Post Award) to manage post-award financial activities for externally funded projects in the Natural Sciences division. The role collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure compliant grant administration and financial reporting.

Hybrid work (3 days on campus, 2 days remote) is available for employees in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum one year grant/finance experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-award financial support for externally sponsored awards.
• Process and monitor grant-related financial transactions (purchasing, travel, payroll, cost transfers).
• Review expenditures for sponsor and university compliance.
• Monitor budgets and communicate balances to PIs and teams.
• Prepare financial reports and ad hoc analyses for management.
